Wim has over 30 years of experience in strategic, financial and valuation advisory services, covering a broad range of industries. For most of his career Wim worked at PwC where he founded and led the Dutch valuation practice for more than two decades.

Wim holds a PhD in finance and is a professor of Business Valuation at the University of Groningen.

He is initiator and program director of the Executive Master of M&A and Valuation, a joint program of the University of Groningen and the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.

Wim is also a member of the Dutch Insolvency Law Committee.

Wim has acted as advisor in many high-profile M&A transactions, both domestic and international, on valuation and other deal related matters. He acted as an expert valuation witness in commercial disputes both in court and in domestic and international arbitration proceedings. Wim also was involved in some recent high profile financial restructurings.

He is seven times winner of the Dutch M&A award for best valuator.
